The Galati Law Firm Welcomes Alexandra George Santhanam as its Newest Associate Attorney

The Galati Law Firm is pleased to announce the recent hiring of Alexandra (Alex) George Santhanam as the firm expands with an additional associate attorney position. Mrs. George Santhanam’s duties at the firm will chiefly focus on representing clients in mandamus, denial, unreasonable delay, FOIA, and other litigation matters.

“I couldn’t be more excited to add a blue-chip immigration litigation talent to our already deep bench,” said the Firm’s Principal, Matthew Galati. “Alex brings a wealth of expertise to our team, having routinely litigated against USCIS and the Department of State on a variety of matters. On top of that experience, she boasts an incredible resume, especially with regard to tech, extraordinary ability, and business immigration more generally.”

Mrs. George Santhanam joins the firm from a leading litigation boutique which had achieved practically unparalleled success in visa mandamus matters. Prior to that experience, she worked at one of Chicago’s leading firms, focusing on extraordinary ability and other complex visa types.

Mrs. George Santhanam is a 2019 graduate of Chicago-Kent College of Law where she earned a specialty certificate in the law school’s Legal Innovation & Technology Certificate Program. She is also a graduate, cum laude, from DePaul University with a major in International Studies.

Mrs. George Santhanam is admitted to practice in Illinois. She is also admitted before the federal courts of the Northern District of Illinois, the District of Columbia, and the Western District of Texas.
